Onyx Club Boys have teamed up with singer, Sophie Dal-Pra, for a special program of French music!
We'll take you on an enchanted musical journey of French Chansons, contemporary French music, Valse Musettes, Jazz Manouche, and more.
Born in France, Sophie grew up surrounded by French music, singing along to every song. The classic tunes of Edith Piaf, Yves Montand, Charles Trenet, Georges Brassens, Aznavour, and many more, became part of her being, like any other French person.
In 2008, Sophie moved to the US and soon fell in love with the country and its music. Today, it’s with great pleasure that she revisits French tunes with the wonderful Gypsy jazz twist of the Onyx Club Boys.
The group has performed at such diverse venues as Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival, Weymouth Center for the Arts & Humanities, Bond Brothers Eastside Club, The Kraken Roadhouse, Alliance Francaise of Raleigh, SKEMA French business school at NCSU, Bynum Front Porch Music Series, Retirement Communities, private parties, and weddings.
